I think this is a great example of blending two different styles of music to make one pretty amazing track. Tyler The Creator to me is reminiscent of that golden era of rap and at such a young age I can’t imagine what the future has in store for him. He jumps on a track that very current and very indicative of our generation by N.E.R.D. Take a listen to what this young buck has to say and really listen to his lyrics I promise you’ll be impressed.

 Speaking of The Smoker’s Club, DZA comes through with some visuals for his newest video Green House, directed by Luddy Of Blackflag Records, & Produced by 183rd  off his forth coming “George Kush Da button” Deluxe Edition dropping Nov.9th in stores everywhere. You can buy your copy early here  What I love about DZA is not only are his tweets funny as hell but his style reminds me of that 90s era of rap which is very often tried by MCs to be duplicated but most never really succeed. DZA does it effortlessly. George Kush Da Button still gets massive amount of play in my life and y’all shoud definitely invest in purcashing your copy when the Deluxe Edition drops. Props to gfcny.com as always.

Honestly, this video is 10 gosh darn minutes long. I have ADD and only watched the first minute of Christopher doing the Dougie. Who knew that a ridiculous dance like this could spark such a phenomenon, playing off my last post of John Wall hitting his dougie last night. I’m waiting for The Bernie to catch on now THAT will be something fun to watch.

The Dark End of The Street was a song originally sung by one of my all time favorite soul singers James Carr. To describe what an impact James and his music has had in my life, I don’t have enough words to type. It makes my heart smile when artists like Aloe who exude soul music make great men like James Carr relevant. Here’s what I have to say about Tom. He’s dope. And not like just the overused type of “dope” everyone uses as a filler nowadays this kid is really a dope MC and person. I kinda like to think if I was a white boy from Durham, NC I’d be Tom Hardy. He’s witty, sarcastic, funny and intelligent; I knew all of this before I actually even had a conversation with the kid. You can tell by the way he raps that he has all these qualities. I’m confiscating him for an interview while he’s in town for CMJ so look forward to that popping up in the weeks to come! 9th once again solidifies why he’s a master on the production and The Hardy Boy Mystery Mixtape: Secret of Thee Green Magic drops October 27th!
