From past history we should all know that when Seven produces a track for Vizzy, it’s gonna be dope. No homo but these boys have great chemistry together and I’m always excited to hear what they have up their sleeves next.  XV continually proves again and again why he should’ve never been thought of as the underdog.

Well..it’s not really new Kanye per say..if you listen to the lyrics you’ll realize that this is an earlier version of Ye’s Homecoming which featured Hip Hop’s best friend Chris Martin…this version has a more soulful approach which I absolutely adore. I’m all for the soulful crooning.

I’m gonna need you to throw all your prejudgements regarding Asher Roth to the side and trust me when i say that this EP is most definitely worthy of a download. The combination of Roth & Raw on this project really showcases how talented both these MCs are. I honestly think Asher deserves more credit than he gets, albeit Asleep In The Bread Aisle to me was rushed, The Greenhouse Effect has always been one of my most played and favorite mixtapes to date. I’m a fan of what these boys did here, for cereal.

Jon Connor and Black Milk are two of my faves coming out of Detroit right now and up top is an indication of why. The Michigan MC sits down for a brief interview with Good*Fella and continues to spit a freestyle off his most recent project.

These boys bring such a smile to my face. Their music is just very upbeat, quirky, happy … very catchy. I love it. I could listen to Passion Pit all day. This song was brought to us as part of American Express’s new holiday campaign for ZNYC and is reminiscent somewhat of a Christmas jingle sprinkled with electro-pop awesomeness. Happy Holidays everyone!

Arite here’s the god honest truth, Johnny Angel .. m’reh. Bruno Mars on the other hand never fails to disappoint me. His voice a pleasure to hear during the blizzard of 2010 while having to endure a 2 hour commute …Bruno’s voice manages to sooth me. Not sure where this may be placed but..enjoy it nonetheless!

I’ve been bumping this at work for a good hour now so if you were on the fence about the quality of this mixtape, you’ve got a super co-sign from me. DJ Wick-It the Instigator blends together tracks from the Black Keys’ Brothers album and Big Boi’s Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty which were both equally really dope projects. The outcome is a really great introduction to DJ Wick-It, this guy’s got a great ear for music. Now excuse me while I continue to play Afraid of the General which is one of my favorites off The Brothers of Chico Dusty.

Insert blank stare here. I’m sorry you guys, I know we all love Alicia and she’s like a sun goddess or whatever but..I still can’t stand Swizz Beatz. But with that said, he does do his thing on the production tip giving us a very creative take on Ye’s Devil in a New Dress . Love hearing Eve <3.
