Well you know that I have a pretty darn good ear when it comes to music and I try my best to introduce you guys to music that I think is worth investing time in. Rockie Fresh falls into this category. He’s a Chicago MC whose been making quite a buzz for himself amongst the blogs and tastemakers. His debut mixtape, Rockie’s Modern Life earned an intense amount of play in my iPod and proves that although this young man started rapping in 2006, his words, lyrics and the way he carries himself presents that of a veteran. This is the third leak off of the Chi-Town homie Rockie Fresh’s upcoming project “Otherside” presented by DJ illWill, DJ Rockstar, & 2DopeBoyz.com and produced entirely by The Cartoonz (The Gift & LPeezy). The Kanye sample was a very nice touch; kudos to you Mr. Fresh!

Judging from this picture I knew I’d be a fan of this track. I’m sad that I was recently JUST put on to Hyper Crush. These kids continue to blow my mind and now..add some extra dub step with hip hop and sprinkle it with electro pop and color my mind blown once again. Any day that brings me some new Hyper Crush even if it’s a remix is a good day in my book.

This is a leftover track that didn’t make the impressive debut album from Mr. Mars but I mean, it’s very impressive nonetheless. I’m really feeling the rock influence. When Bruno goes towards a little edgier sound it always pleases my ears, although I love his crooner vibe I also love to see him go outside the box and that’s exactly what he did here. The face of Lauren London with bars like J.Cole. Yeah, that’s the description that we’ve got going for Nitty Scott MC. Not only is she beautiful but this young talent can really REALLY spit. She really has no gimmicks to who she is, very confident in her own skin and this broad’s twitter is hilarious. She has thoughts very similar to mine and she’s definitely one of my favorites. The female MC is on the rise folks and with Nitty and Rapsody leading this new wave, I’m proud to be presenting them to you.

My boyfriend definitely took advantage of Amazon releasing Free Agent in MP3 Format and after listening he updated his facebook status with YAOWA so..I’m guessing he was impressed. Lo Siento Joell, I know how perturbed you were by this premature act of stupidity by Amazon. Luckily it has since been removed and the album is scheduled to be released around February 2011. For now enjoy this track featuring Fat Joseph. Once again, Joell does not disappoint.

Yep, Rapsody is flooding the internets but definitely in a good way. I’m loving everything she’s been dropping lately, her visuals have been on point; her tracks have been nothing but the best and .. i’m excited to see what Return Of The B-Girl which drops on December 7th has in store for us. This features another 9th Wonder gem; Heather Victoria who laces the track with a pretty smooth hook, Enjoy!

Yeah, pretty big fan of The Kickdrums as you can tell my taste in music definitely goes outside of Hip Hop and … enter: The Kickdrums. Their music makes me happy and although they’re primarily rock oriented the boys do have moments where they step outside of the rock box (their remix of Kanye’s Good Morning). I was very excited to hear that they dropped some new music for our enjoyment and.. P&P has provided the link, thanks guys!

We’ve heard our share of duds from Clifford’s new album which hits stores on December 7th and I have to say this track is definitely a stand out. I think it’s Christina’s powerful voice that really takes it to the next level. I’m a fan.
