I just really liked what Photocall did on this remix. Not sure if Matthew Dear drew any inspiration from Jay Hawkin’s original I Put A Spell On You but either way I enjoy both the original and the remix down below.

I’m a fan of Outasight. I’ve been going to his shows for the past 2 years now and he’s always an entertaining MC to watch and also to rock with on your iPod. I want you so much..but I hate your guts. Congrats to Daughter for describing 99.8% of relationships. Know how you know something is ridiculously powerful? When it takes very minimal to showcase Daughter’s amazing vocals. She’s got the type of vibe that makes me want to be her best friend. This song tells a tale of love, hate and everything in between. I love LOVE her. Discoveries on a Thursday night make me so happy. You can stream Daughter’s debut EP His Young Heart (released 20th April) from her Soundcloud or Bandcamp.

This beat is kinda sweet. Judge me how you may but it’s just a kind of adorable beat that’s perfect for what Vizzy is saying in this song. A track celebrating life which I’m sure XV is doing as he is currently on tour with my loves The Dean’s List. Excited for his upcoming project #ZeroHeroes, due 4-XV-11.

Oh how I adore/love this Boogie Down Productions classic, “The Bridge is Over” beat. Within this 2 minute track Mr. Roth gives us a reason to wake up and realize that this white boy that we thought was just a one hit wonder might actually be here to stay. I’ve been a fan of Asher since his early mixtape days and will always say that his debut album although it was good was definitely a bit rushed. Hopefully his sophomore album The Spaghetti Tree will be different, we shall see..

I know my homie Young Scolla has been hard at work with SMKA (the ridiculously amazing ATL production group) to bring us his collaborative project but as we wait for that to drop he delivers a We Are The Tay produced joint that draws inspiration from Michael Jordan (yes, the Greatest Of All Time). Love hearing new Theo Martins! He’s been putting me in such a dance, sway, feel the music type of mood. It’s always great to hear music that just moves you. Theo picks these great beats that make me wanna get on the dance floor. Here’s what he had to say, “”‘The Spotlight’ is about some of the things that come along with living life the fast life.
