StreetLevel.com Presents: On The Level Ep. 7 with J. Cole from streetxlevel on Vimeo.

Fellow St. John’s Alum (Marillac HOLLA!) sits down with Streetlevel to talk about skinny jeans to getting signed. Man, shout out to Queens – where the best landlords reside BELIEVE THAT. B-T-Dubs, Jermaine’s been rockin’ that same jacket since sophmore year of college, I respect anyone who doesn’t let the fame affect them and manages to stay humble as some North Carolina pie.

This is never taking no for an answer..

Congrats to Outasight! who recently got signed to Asylum/Warner. Below is a little video that tells the story of a man that is not only talented, he has a great personality AND can pull off wearing a shiny gray vest. After the jump you can also watch some visuals of an interview recently done by him and my boyfriend 6th Sense (he just doesn’t know it yet) with Terry Urrrrrban. B-T-Dubs be on the look out for  his album, “From Here to Eternity” dropping next year.

Bittersweet – Pimp C

While we celebrate Mr. Carter’s 40th Birthday today we should take a moment of silence to remember Pimp C who died from an accidental overdose of Promethazine/Codeine cough syrup that mixed with a pre-existing sleep apnea condition. RIP Pimp; the most sampled rapper ever.

Outasight

outasight-further

Attention: I need all of you out there to read and read well. Outasight is a somewhat new phenomenon in the Rap game and a force to be reckoned with. I had the pleasure of meeting this dude last night at Mateo’s showcase at SOBs where he performed a short set and on top of blowing me away with his performance he blew me away with his approachable manner and all around good guy swag. Hailing from Yonkers, NY – Outasight has the kind of aesthetic reminiscent of the 90s while letting his music live in the ’09. This guy is so broad and diverse he’s able to rock out with a live band or just provide you with a good mellow feel on a chill night. It doesn’t hurt that he reminds me of my boo Dwight Schrute (sorry Outasight)

Above: is the cover for Outasight’s new mixtape , Further brought to you by the good folks over at LRG and will be dropping on December 15th. Merry Christmas kids.

After the jump, tracklisting and some videos to get you more acquainted with the man that I predict might takeover 2010. Jus sayin’ [...]

Allow Me To Introduce…

Mr. Donny, “if you don’t know my name I’m not working hard enough” Goines. This is the first of many introductions that B-T-Dubs will be bringing you of Mr. Goines. Born in Manhattan but a product of every borough Donny is the true definition of an artist on their grind. The epitome of hard work paying off, Donny’s mentality is that of a non stop hustler. His mixtape, “The Breakfast Club“ is out for download in the streets of the internet, you can thank me later for the suggestion. Now I strongly advise you view the rest of this interview and by advise I mean you should.
