STS aka Sugar Tongue Slim aka GOLD! has to be one of my favorite discoveries within the past two years. How this guy isn’t more famous that he already is..is beyond my comprehension. He’s opened up for the likes of Joell Ortiz, J.Cole and most recently Travis Barker and his notoriety is growing with every show he does. I wholeheartedly recommend downloading Demand More 2 by clicking on the link and prepare to fall in love or..at least really respect what this man does.

In this second part of the 2-part interview with Philadelphia Music Magazine, STS discusses the spoils of having a major deal, his peculiar habit of writing verses on walls and how they ended up on The Roots Grammy nominated album, How I Got Over. All from the confines of his studio, The Sugar Shack in Philly. GOLD!

Things I can relate to that Gaga has been through: Bullied when younger, playing the piano and being a lefty. I knew I liked this broad for a reason.

This probably is my favorite of all the Nardwuar interviews that were done during SxSW mostly because.. Big K.R.I.T. is my absolute favorite. I got to meet him for like 2 seconds … and I forgot how to speak. Eh, it happens. Just watching how appreciative K.R.I.T. is in this interview and how excited he is just makes me smile inside and out. I love him. He speaks on getting booed during his first show in New York, which I was at and I wanted to punch every single Joell Ortiz fan in the face (it was at a OnSmash Joell/Jay Elec show which I was at) he’s definitely risen above that though. Sumit speaks with Kendrick Lamar on where his influences stem from, how he manages to be so relatable to his fans, his project with Dr. Dre and another free project that he hopes to drop. Here’s my words of advice for the 2 people that read this blog: if you haven’t heard of Kendrick Lamar please find Overly Dedicated, download it and prepare to fall in love. And maybe then you’ll understand why he’s got so much love from so many people. TDE!

I can’t tell y’all how excited I am for From The Westside With Love Pt 2 which drops in May, I literally have every song on the first mixtape memorized. I’m so glad I got to see Dom perform at SxSW and best believe Mr. Kennedy killed every single show he performed at. Up top, he explained how his latest mixtape, The Orginal Dom Kennedy, came about and told us his next project From The Westside With Love 2 will be out this May. -VIBE
